Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our professional film developing and scanning services.

How do I send my film to Irohas Photo?

After placing your order online, you will receive a confirmation email with a shipping label and instructions. Securely package your film rolls in a padded envelope and drop them off at any authorized courier location.

What is the typical turnaround time for developing and scanning?

Our standard processing time is 3 to 5 business days from the moment we receive your film at our lab. You will receive an email notification with a download link for your high-resolution digital scans as soon as they are ready.

Can you develop expired film or motion picture film?

Yes, we specialize in both fresh and expired 35mm and 120mm film. However, we currently only process C-41 color negative and Black & White chemistry. We do not offer ECN-2 processing for motion picture stocks at this time.

Will my physical negatives be returned to me?

Yes, we offer two options at checkout: we can either securely archive your negatives at our facility for 30 days before disposal, or we can ship them back to your provided address for a flat shipping fee.

What resolution are the digital scans?

We use industry-leading Fujifilm Frontier and Noritsu scanners. Our 'Standard' scans are approximately 3000x2000 pixels, while our 'Ultra' scans provide maximum detail at 6000x4000 pixels, perfect for large-scale printing.

What is your policy if my film comes back blank?

If your film is blank due to camera malfunction or severe underexposure, we will refund the scanning portion of your order. A small 'Develop Only' fee still applies to cover the chemistry and labor costs used during the process.
